Some Solutions for a Class of Singular Equations

In this paper we obtain all solutions which depend only on r for a class of partial differential equations of higher order with singular coefficients.     

On the nonvanishing of the central value of the Rankin-Selberg -functions

We characterize the nonvanishing of the central value of the Rankin-Selberg -functions in terms of periods of Fourier-Jacobi type. This characterization is based on the Langlands philosophy on functoriality and on applications of invariant theory to automorphic representations. The result is the symplectic analog of the Gross-Prasad conjecture.

     

Analysis of the Electronic Vibrational Spectra of Bisanthene by Calculating Normal Modes

At 4.2 K, the quasiline fluorescence and fluorescence-excitation spectra (in the region of the S ₁ S ₀- and S ₂ S ₀ transitions) of bisanthene in n-hexane have been obtained. Using the MO/M8ST method, the calculation of the A _g normal modes in the S ₀, S ₁, and S ₂ electronic states was carried out for the bisanthene molecule; the relative intensities of the transitions in the corresponding vibronic spectra were also calculated. The analysis of the results of calculations and experiment made it possible to draw conclusions on the form of the modes for a number of normal vibrations which are active in the bisanthene vibronic spectra.     

Conformational Analysis of Planar Enol Rotamers of 2,4-Pentanedione: an Ab Initio Study

All conformations among different planar enol conformers (rotamers) of 2,4-pentanedione were studied by means of the Hartree-Fock method using the STO-3G** basis set. The calculations were carried out with the Gaussian-98 program. For each conformation, stationary points with the highest energy on the energy curve were found graphically. Several conformations have low energy barriers and correspond to rotations around single bonds. They describe the spatial motion of only one (in most cases, hydrogen) atom or a small molecular fragment. All low energy barriers are in the interval 13-59 kJ·mol^-1. As would be expected, the lowest energy barrier is exhibited by the conformation that leads to the formation of an enol rotamer having an intramolecular H-bond (so-called -shaped form). On the other hand, conformations in which rotation around a bond leads to a break of the intramolecular hydrogen bond have the highest energy barriers. Conformations in which rotation occurs around the double bond have high energy barriers. The influence of the solvents CHCl₃ and CH₃CN on the intramolecular H-bond has also been studied by means of IPCM at the HF/6-31G** level.     

Production of Lypoglycoprotein Micelles with Arglabine Antitumor Preparation

The possible production of a new medicinal form of the antitumor preparation arglabine was studied by including it in lipoglycoprotein micelles isolated from wheat grains     

Extraction of the neutron charge form factor G<Superscript>n</Superscript><Subscript>E</Subscript>(Q<Superscript>2</Superscript>) from the charge form factor of deuteron G<Superscript>d</Superscript><Subscript>C</Subscript>(Q<Superscript>2</Superscript>)

We extract the neutron charge form factor G ⁿ _E(Q ²) from the charge form factor of deuteron G ^d _C(Q ²) obtained from T ₂₀(Q ²) data at 0≤Q ²≤ 1.717 (GeV/c)². The extraction is based on the relativistic impulse approximation in the instant form of the relativistic Hamiltonian dynamics. Our results (12 new points) are compatible with existing values of the neutron charge form factor of other authors. We propose a fit for the whole set (36 points) taking into account the data for the slope of the form factor at Q ² = 0. Free Algebras of Automorphic Forms on the Upper Half-Plane

We find all pairs (,a) consisting of a cocompact Fuchsian group of genus zero and an automorphy factor a of for which the graded algebra of a--automorphic forms is free.     

Differentiable conjugacy of the Poincaré type vector fields on

We prove that on , except for those germs of vector fields whose linear parts are conjugated to , any two Poincaré type vector fields are at least conjugated to each other provided their linear approximations have the same eigenvalues and the nonlinear parts are generic.

     

A NEW FORMULA WITHOUT BOUNDARY INTEGRALS ON A STEIN MANIFOLD

A new Koppelman-Leray-Norguet formula of (p-1,q) differential forms for a strictly pseudoconvex polyhedron with not necessarily smooth boundary on a Stein manifold is obtained, and an integral representation for the solution of (?)-equation on this domain which does not involve integrals on boundary is given, so one can avoid complex estimates of boundary integrals.
